Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Review/Swatches

Hello everyone! I'm coming in today with my very first review and swatches on this blog. Today, I released my video talking about this but here is a post with swatches!

So that's what the palette looks like for those who haven't seen it. The packaging is very nice and sturdy, not at all how I expected. It is inspired by watercolors that artists used. The only downside I have to the packaging is that it's easy to have your fingerprints all over it which isn't a big deal, but it's really ugly for pictures!

Here are the 12 shades in the palette! (1.3 g each) There are 3 matte shades and 9 shimmery ones. That's one of the things I don't like about this palette. You'll find that I absolutely love a good matte eyeshadow, and sadly this only has 3 (Foxy, Tease and Blackout). A huge pro in this is the really big mirror! That makes this palette quite easy to use if you're out and don't have a mirror. It also comes with a double-sided brush that is exclusive to this palette.

Foxy - A matte cream shade. Very easy to blend, I like this one because it's probably one of the most versatile shadows in the palette. It's nice and creamy as well, not very dry and doesn't have any fall out.

Half Baked - A shimmery gold shade with cool undertones. This shadow was also in the previous Naked palette. It will look amazing on any color eyes and skin. I love this one!

Bootycall - A shimmery light peach eyeshadow with warm undertones. Not very pigmented compared to the other eye shadows but is buildable. Great as a highlight.

Chopper - A shimmery bronze eyeshadow with warm undertones. Absolutely adore this one! Every girl out there needs a color like this one.

Tease - A matte dark taupe eyeshadow with cool undertones. I absolutely adore this eyeshadow, and it's probably my favorite from the entire palette. The color itself is very unique and the fact that it's matte is a plus.

Snakebite - A shimmery dark brown color with warm undertones and golden shimmer. Gorgeous color! This will look really great with any eye color as well.

Suspect - A shimmery light champagne color. A classic eyeshadow in any neutral palette.

Pistol - A shimmery light gray color. This is a lighter version of Gunmetal, a popular UD shade.

Verve - A shimmery off-white color with a warm brown undertone. Pretty unique color!

YDK - A shimmery champagne color with a cool undertone and light shimmers. My favorite shimmery color in the palette! It's VERY pigmented and smooth.

Busted - A shimmery dark plum color with a neutral undertone. The shimmers are multi-colored but not very obvious.

Blackout - A matte black eyeshadow. A classic color! Love it :)

And before I forget, here's the brush that comes with it. It's called Good Karma Shadow Brush and it's exclusive to this palette only!

I've used it a couple of times and I have to say that it's not the best brush out there, but considering it came with the palette, it's pretty decent. I really like the flat shader side of the brush, it's very stiff and good for packing on color but the blending brush side of it is too stiff and hard to blend with.

Each shadow comes in a good amount of 1.3 grams (a MAC eyeshadow comes in 1.5 grams). Overall, I would have to say that the palette is definitely worth the money. The colors have amazing quality and staying power.
